Job Description:
Key positional responsibilities include: Ability to perform physical labor by repairing, lifting and moving bicycles in an outdoor and or semi-outdoor environment; the semi-outdoor Gator Gears shop area does not have air conditioning, although fans are provided Maintain and repair Gator Gears bicycle fleet as needed; this includes responding to repair requests across campus and traveling by bike or foot to those locations to provide mobile repair service Assist BPC with keeping track of program equipment and parts inventory in order to help with planning parts orders and fleet schedule Provide support for Gator Gears check-outs and return periods Provide support for other TAPS bicycle programs as needed such as monthly abandoned bicycle sweeps, surplus bicycle storage, etc. Miscellaneous other duties as needed or assigned by BPC or TAPS administration This position is expected to maintain a regular daytime work schedule with consistent attendance and availability throughout the year, including the summer semester and the critical activity periods at the beginning and end of each fall and spring semester. Any requests for leave or variations to the position's normal schedule should be communicated in advance to and approved by the BPC and should follow all requirements of the official TAPS time and leave policy.
Normal work schedule:
Monday-Friday, part-time (approx. 25-30 hours per week); exact schedule TBD by BPC and OPS mechanic
Expected Salary:
$17.00 - $19.00
