As a Heavy Equipment Electrical - Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance of company-owned machinery, including diesel-powered and hydraulic equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work independently on a variety of challenging tasks, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs, while contributing to a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fuel, electrical, hydraulic, track, and propane systems on heavy equipment. Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts such as bearings, pistons, gears, hoses, batteries, and tires. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and final checks on installations, repairs, inspections, and adjustments. Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions and ensure equipment operates properly at job sites. Disassemble and repair hydraulic pumps, motors, and related components. Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic equipment and machinery, including manufacturing and pressure testing hydraulic hoses. Perform incidental welding operations as required. Handle hazardous materials safely and in accordance with company policies. Educate customers on proper equipment use to prevent future breakdowns. Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and ensure tool accountability. Perform outdoor duties, including greasing and replacing tracks in various weather conditions. Adhere to all safety guidelines both in-house and on job sites. Keep accurate and timely service reports and repair logs. Maintain a clean and organized work area and service truck. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications College diploma or equivalent education. Certificate of Completion in Diesel Mechanics. Completion of Truck Mechanics Chassis Systems and Diesel Engines courses. Extensive experience with hydraulic systems, including open and closed hydraulic systems. Experience rebuilding hydraulic motors, valves, and cylinders. Knowledge of welding techniques and safe operation of welding equipment. Proficiency in using heavy and power tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot heavy equipment. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Entry-level employment as a Mechanic/Technician is acceptable.
Offered compensation:
$20/yr - $25/yr Experience and License Requirements Certificate of Completion in Diesel Mechanics (optional) Diesel Mechanics Hydraulic Systems Repair
