Job Description

Job Description The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting necessary repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the heavy equipment fleet. To be successful in this position, the Mobile Maintenance Mechanic should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow safety and work procedures. Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance. Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts. Repairing damaged equipment parts. Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles. Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms. Performing major repair work when necessary. Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs. Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management. Clean industrial equipment and work stations. Oversee and coordinate third party repairs of heavy machinery. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements HS Degree highly preferred Minimum of 3 years' experience working with as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic Hands-on work attitude, precise and detail-oriented workstyle; highly organized with good communication skills Able to organized and maintain a strong accuracy level in all administrative duties. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Able to interact at any level of the organization effectively. Must be dependable and show ability to take directions. Able to work flexible schedules and long hours. At all times, behave honestly and ethically in all matters. Must be a team player Must be highly computer literate for the maintaining of machine control systems software and upgrades. Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures, in loud, high volume environment. Perform essential functions of job that includes walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
