In this vital role, you will lead the maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Duties Perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics. Conduct detailed inspections and troubleshooting of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Diagnose complex mechanical issues through automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to determine effective repair solutions. Oversee the assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of equipment ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Lead heavy lifting operations safely when handling large components or machinery during repairs or installations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair processes clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with completed work. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in dealership settings or industrial environments. Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for precise diagnostics and repairs. Hands-on experience with automotive repair including brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering to create or modify parts as needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs. Strong electrical experience related to vehicle wiring systems and service technician responsibilities is highly desirable.
