Dragline Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Dragline Mechanic to join our heavy equipment maintenance team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining draglines and other heavy aggregate equipment used in mining, aggregate, and material handling operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Liebherr and Manitowoc draglines and possess a strong mechanical background working around crushers, stackers, conveyors, and large loaders in heavy production environments. MSHA certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain draglines and heavy aggregate equipment Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on draglines, crushers, stackers, conveyors, and loaders Inspect hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems for proper operation Troubleshoot engine, drivetrain, swing systems, hoist systems, and crawler components Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as needed Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information Complete repair documentation and maintenance records accurately Work closely with equipment managers, supervisors, and operators to minimize downtime Respond to field service calls and emergency breakdowns when required Maintain a safe and clean work environment Follow all MSHA, OSHA, and company safety regulations and procedures

Qualifications/Skills:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on draglines or large heavy equipment Experience working around Liebherr and Manitowoc draglines preferred Experience with heavy aggregate equipment including: Crushers Stackers Conveyors Large wheel loaders Material handling equipment MSHA certification preferred Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to read and understand equipment schematics and service manuals Valid driver's license required CDL is a plus Ability to work overtime and travel to field locations when needed Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Excellent mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication and teamwork skills Safety-focused mindset Dependable and punctual Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work in demanding outdoor and industrial environments Work Environment Mining, aggregate, and heavy industrial environments Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and heavy machinery Frequent climbing, lifting, kneeling, and working at heights

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
