In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet of construction, farm, and industrial machinery running smoothly, supporting our commitment to safety, efficiency, and reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a tangible impact. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system checks, brake repairs, tire service, and engine tune-ups to prevent downtime. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC components, and more. Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Operate heavy machinery safely during testing procedures or when performing repairs requiring heavy lifting or equipment operation. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Skills Extensive experience with dealership service environments or OEM equipment repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across farm machinery, industrial equipment, construction machinery (including excavators and cranes), and automotive diagnostics. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical systems and hydraulics. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, alignment procedures, HVAC systems in heavy machinery, suspension components, and tire service. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various positions—standing, kneeling or climbing—throughout the workday. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Valid experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or tractor-trailers is an advantage. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience enhances troubleshooting efficiency.
