Job Summary The Mechanic/Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician will diagnose and repair diesel engines and other powertrain components, air brakes, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, and diesel emission systems.

Hours and Wages Shifts Available:

Monday-Friday, 7:00AM start Monday-Friday, 3:00PM start $20.00-$33.00 per hour, based on experience +$2.00 per hour shift differential for second shift Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week Duties and Responsibilities Ability to use scan tool and laptop technology Follow reasonable instructions from shift leader Ability to work independently and/ or with team Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment Help maintain an effective and clean work environment Must have own tools or ability to obtain own tools to complete all job functions Perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Welding and torch experience is a plus but not required Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn Education and Experience At least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license OR be willing to successfully complete Company paid CDL training program Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Ability to pass a DOT physical exam Must be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet Work environment involves ability to bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and drive Work environment may involve hazards such as diesel exhaust, brake dust, grease, antifreeze, and other elements associated with vehicle repair Benefits Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.
