Job Description

RSCI is looking for an experienced and motivated Shop Mechanic with expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repair for trucks and heavy equipment at our East Boise shop. If you're passionate about keeping equipment in top shape and have a strong background in diagnosing and fixing complex issues, we want you to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks, heavy machinery, and other equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components. Work with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to identify and fix issues efficiently. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety. Maintain accurate records of repairs and service schedules. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and service orders. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic working on heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery. In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems , electrical systems , and mechanical systems (including diesel engines and drivetrains). Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair both electrical and hydraulic issues on a variety of equipment. Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA regulations. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred, but not required). Own tools (preferred but not required). High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hydraulics, electrical systems, or heavy equipment mechanics are a plus.
