Mechanic Shop Assistant

Job Overview:

Sunshine Landscape is a fast growing commercial landscape company. We have serviced the Treasure Valley since 2000. We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Assistant to join our team. As a Mechanic Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced mechanics to assist in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and landscape equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about automotive, small engine and construction equipment mechanics and wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Duties:

• Assist mechanics in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior mechanics
• Assist with disassembling and reassembling mechanical components
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Retrieve parts and supplies as needed
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience or coursework in automotive mechanics is preferred
• Basic knowledge of vehicle, small engine and mower systems and components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Must have a valid Drivers License and be
