Handsfree Group is a nationwide installation company that specializes in fleet-vehicle electronics, such as cameras and tracking devices. We partner with industry equipment providers, to manage installation projects ranging from 10 to 10,000 pieces of equipment. The demand for installation services continues to grow and we are supporting more partners every year.

Responsibilities:

As a Telematics Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installations, service repairs and diagnostics of 12-volt equipment, making sure these installation projects meet high quality standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a 1099 Independent contractor position.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a field service technician or similar role.
• Experience with products such as Verizon Connect, Lytx, Geotab, Smart Drive, Smart Witness, Hub/DVR cam systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing fleet safety and communication devices. Including telematics, video-telematics, cradles, and mounts, and other 12v equipment.
• MECP certification (preferred but not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities, with a focus on delivering efficient and effective service.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

$40.00 per hour Application Question(s): Have you installed, troubleshot, or repaired in-vehicle telematics equipment such as camera systems, GPS systems, car alarms, stereos, or remote starters for fleet vehicles? Are you comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor (not a W-2 employee) and therefore understand that that you're responsible for your own tools, and taxes.
