This role involves heavy lifting, strict adherence to safety protocols, and frequent travel to customer sites or equipment yards.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Safely operate a heavy-duty hydraulic press (e.g., 100- to 200-ton press) to remove old tires and press new ones onto wheel rims and assemblies.
Field & Mobile Service:
Drive company service trucks/trailers directly to customer and company sites to perform on-site tire replacements.
Maintenance & Repair:
Inspect wheels, rims, and tires for wear or damage, and perform routine maintenance on the tire press and service equipment.
Inventory Management:
Organize and track industrial tire stock, complete work orders, and process shipping and receiving of parts.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to strict OSHA standards and company safety procedures regarding high-pressure equipment and heavy machinery.
Qualifications & Requirements Mechanical Aptitude:
Basic to advanced mechanical skills and familiarity with hydraulic equipment, hand tools, and heavy machinery.
Experience:
Typically 1+ years of experience in tire service, heavy equipment, or a similar industrial shop environment.
Licensing:
A clean, valid Driver's License (insurable by company standards) and a DOT Medical Certification.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to frequently lift and maneuver heavy tires and wheels (often 50 to 100+ pounds) and work in various weather conditions
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
