Job Description

Position Summary:
Terradyne Country Club is a privately owned country club in Andover, Kansas. The Equipment Manager is a key member ensuring the successful daily operation of the agronomy team. The Equipment Manager will report to the Golf Course Superintendent with the primary responsibility of performing preventative maintenance and repairs to all golf course maintenance equipment. Applicants must have 1-3 years of prior experience in a similar field. Hours include weekdays, some weekend mornings, occasional evenings and Holidays.
Primary Duties:
Inspect, diagnose and make repairs to malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner. Communicate with Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents the condition and status of all equipment. Maintains preventative maintenance program, orders parts and replacement supplies within budget. Perform spot checks of cut quality and machine performance in the field. Assist in training team members the proper procedures and safe use of all equipment. Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts inventory, fuel and oil levels. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area at all times. Perform other duties as instructed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Read and write in English. Give or receive verbal and written instructions from managers or subordinates. Diagnose issues and complete repairs to small gas engines, diesel engines, 2-cycle engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, spray application equipment, etc. Ability to understand and interpret various repair manuals and electrical or hydraulic schematics. Basic understanding of mower setup and sharpening techniques for reel and rotary mowing equipment. Must be a self starting problem solver with ability to accomplish tasks independently. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. constantly, 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally.
