Automotive Parts Puller / Dismantler

Smith Auto & Truck Parts , a family-owned auto recycling business in Garden City, is hiring for our parts removal team. This is a hands-on, outdoor position for someone who likes physical work and doesn't mind getting dirty.

What You'll Actually Be Doing:

Removing parts from end-of-life vehicles in our 22-acre yard using hand and power tools Working from a tablet to track which parts to pull each day Cleaning and inspecting parts before they go to customers Operating a service truck to move between vehicles in the yard Meeting daily production goals (you'll pull 15-25 parts per day depending on complexity)

What We Need From You:

Experience working on vehicles (shadetree mechanic, farm/ranch equipment repair, or similar hands-on work) Ability to identify automotive parts and use basic hand tools Comfortable working outside year-round in Kansas weather (hot summers, cold winters) Physically able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in awkward positions (climbing, bending, reaching) Reliable transportation and a solid work history Basic computer/tablet skills to track your work

$16-20/hour depending on experience (room to grow with performance) Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (no weekends!)
