SHOP TECHNICIAN
McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South-Central Regions, has an opening for a Shop Service Technician in our Owensboro, KY dealership. We are growing fast and need a skilled Shop Diesel Technician who loves working on big iron. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must have heavy equipment and construction equipment experience.
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on construction and forestry equipment. Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment functionality and lifespan. Conduct diagnostic tests and maintain accurate repair records using computer and mobile devices. Ensure a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency. Proficient in basic computer applications for diagnostics and record keeping. Possess a valid driver's license.
Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred:
  • 2-year associate degree from a technical school
  • 2 years of related diesel technician experience.
  • Engine overhaul experience
