Qualifications:

Education:

One-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred

Experience:

Minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, pumps, valves, and welding Strong troubleshooting skills Basic mechanical knowledge in a wood industry environment preferred Experience with fabrication and welding of various metals (including pipe welding) Strong communication skills

Life:

Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician Inspect, service, repair, and construct plant processing equipment, including structures, utilities, loaders, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, mechanical systems, and pressure vessels throughout the plant. Utilize welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair, and fabricate processing equipment. Manage inventory of serviceable parts required to maintain equipment. Perform preventative maintenance programs established by the company. Document and report maintenance work performed and advise on future maintenance needs in a timely manner. Participate in and contribute to company safety programs. Perform other related duties as assigned.
