Responsibilities Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, assessing vehicle conditions efficiently. Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs such as tire changes, battery jumps, fluid top-ups, and minor mechanical fixes. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including inspecting brakes, belts, hoses, and other critical components. Utilize diagnostic equipment like an ohmmeter to identify electrical issues accurately. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities and roadside interactions. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used for each job. Communicate clearly with customers to explain repairs and provide excellent service throughout each interaction. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of vehicle problems. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic devices such as an ohmmeter. Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures and basic mechanical repairs. Ability to work independently in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to customer service. Good communication skills to effectively explain technical issues to drivers. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL certification is a plus but not required.
