The Caddo Levee District ensures the integrity of the levee system throughout the year and during times of emergency, responds with trained personnel and the necessary equipment to provide protection of lives and property. About this position The typical day of work activities for a Mobile Equipment Operator 1
- Heavy are hauling heavy equipment to destinations and using equipment like bulldozers, excavators and tractors to work on and along levees and drainage channels.
This incumbent will work under the supervision of Levee Maintenance Superintendent. The key competencies needed to succeed in this role are the following:

The ability to combine your actions and efforts with others to work toward achieving a common goal. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in mobile equipment operations. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
This position main responsibilities are to operates heavy mobile equipment such as bulldozers, front end loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders and may be required to operate any equipment enumerated for lower graded equipment operators when necessary to accomplish work objective. Indirect supervision over lower graded workers and provide guidance to and oversee work of lower graded operators. Perform incidental repair and construction tasks and make minor repairs to equipment and perform user maintenance necessary to keep equipment in clean, good working order and any other tasks requested by supervisor personnel.
