Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting construction, farming, and industrial projects with reliable, well-maintained equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about heavy machinery and eager to work with a diverse fleet of equipment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, and forklifts using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system checks, brake repairs, transmission servicing, and tire service to maximize equipment lifespan. Fabricate custom parts or modifications as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension components, air brake systems, HVAC units, and diesel engines to identify issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures to verify repairs and ensure operational safety standards are met. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities; adhere to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with service technicians and customer service teams to provide exceptional support and ensure customer satisfaction. Skills Proven experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery in dealership or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension systems, and diesel engines. Skilled in reading schematics and OEM manuals for accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Proficient with welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during complex repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing equipment is a plus. Join us in keeping essential machinery operating at peak performance!
