Generator Technician Ideal Work Experience:
Electro-mechanical, small motor, or appliance repair background Experience servicing generators and transfer switches is a plus, but not a requirement: we will train the right individual Ability to read and follow electric schematics and drawings Experienced at performing testing with multi-meters and amperage clamps Maintains own tool inventory adequate to complete assigned repairs Computer literate Identifying potential problems ahead of time and being proactive implementing solutions The primary function of a Generator Technician is to keep emergency power equipment well serviced, operable and reliable, in preparation for failure of commercial power. The generator technician repairs and maintains electric generators, switchgear, electronic controls and diesel and gas engines. Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs for fuel delivery, ignition, lube oil, cooling, and exhaust systems are included, as well as engine and component repairs. Additionally, the technician will diagnose, disassemble and examine parts for defects and excessive wear. This is a customer focused role. You will be building rapport, keeping customers informed and ensuring satisfaction. This is an independent role; our Generator Technicians work primarily out of their homes with strategically located parts warehouses. Truck, cell phone, laptop, gas card, PPE all provided. As a 24/7 emergency service provider, the position might require travel, nights and weekends. You will be working during storms, severe weather and other disasters. Find out more about
