electrical safety protocols English Electricity generation Journeyman Electrician Backup power maintenance Electrical maintenance Energy production Full Job Description E-logic is actively recruiting a Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic specializing in industrial power generation to support the mission critical assets at U.S. Navy at U.S. Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). You will be responsible for the health, readiness, and technical oversight of critical generator systems, working closely with government technical personnel, managing on-site mechanics, and orchestrating vendor support. Key Responsibilities Supervise the heavy equipment maintenance team and coordinate specialized repair workflows. Serve as the technical expert for backup generation systems. Directly perform complex maintenance and repairs on backup generators and associated power generation distribution networks. Manage and oversee third-party, factory-trained technicians when generator preventive maintenance tasks are subcontracted. Ensure complete compliance with electrical and operational safety standdowns, including
NFPA 70E
requirements and physical asset protection. Qualifications & Requirements EGSA (Electrical Generating Systems Association) Journeyman Certification.
NFPA 70E
Certification. Comprehensive training and documented certification in heavy-duty generator maintenance, load-banking, and electrical generation systems. Must speak, read, and write English fluently to interface clearly with naval clients. Physically robust enough to handle heavy tools, lift 75 pounds safely, carry it 15 feet, and work in varied physical postures. Willing to attend 24/7 emergency call
