Job Description

Summary:
Start your career in power systems. South Mountain Generator services commercial diesel and natural gas generators (10kW-2000kW) and provides 24/7 emergency support. We'll train the right candidate with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic.
What You'll Do:
Assist with preventative maintenance and inspections Support diagnostics and basic repairs (mechanical/electrical) Learn ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) operation and troubleshooting Perform load bank testing with senior techs Complete service reports and maintain tools/vehicle Participate in on-call rotation after training
What We're Looking For:
Mechanical aptitude; basic electrical knowledge a plus Trade school, military, or hands-on experience preferred Valid driver's license and clean record Able to lift 50+ lbs; work indoors/outdoors Reliable, safety-focused, willing to learn Nice to
Have:
Exposure to diesel engines or generators Basic understanding of schematics
