About Us Walters is the premier environmental services provider in the Twin Cities metropolitan area providing waste and recycling collection to the public and private sectors since 1988. We are the largest family owned and operated waste and recycling provider in Minnesota providing over 100,000 services each week with a fleet fueled by both diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG). Job Summary As a Lube Tech you will be responsible for lubricating and maintaining our fleet of diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) waste collections vehicles and equipment while providing outstanding service to our customers, both internal and external. This position is Safety Sensitive. It requires drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR part 382, this includes marijuana. This position also requires an active DOT health card. To get a DOT health card, candidates must have a valid Minnesota Drivers License. Primary Job Duties ? Keep the work area clean and safe and always adhere to all safety policies. ? Perform Lubrication on our entire fleet of vehicles and other equipment, as well as minor corrective maintenance. ? Perform safety inspections on diesel and CNG powered trucks, as well as other equipment within our fleet. ? Wash our fleet of vehicles and equipment. ? Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. ? Meet or exceed assigned productivity goals. ? Perform all work within the Estimated Repair Times (ERT) ? Complete applicable Company training programs. ? Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience ? Familiarity with larger vehicles ? Mechanical aptitude Desire to be a diesel mechanic ? High school diploma or equivalent required. ? Ability to maintain a clean driving record ? Must have
Valid MN Driver's License Physical Requirements:
? Lifting to 50 lbs. Motor coordination with finger dexterity, exposure to chemicals, and physical environment with dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes for most of the workday. ? Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT health evaluation, and physical assessment ? Ability to work on a ladder at heights over 4 feet ? Ensure you wear proper PPE for weather conditions ? This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements in compliance with 49 CFR Part 382.Benefits:
