Job Description

Overview Join the Toppers and Trailers Plus team as a Shop Technician, where you'll play a vital role in repairing a wide range of new and used trailers. We sell cargo, utility, dump and custom trailers. We do everything from routine maintenance and DOT inspections, all the way up to rebuilding damaged trailers. You will be installing new and used snow plows on trucks and diagnosing issues on customers snow plows. As a Shop Tech with Toppers and Trailers Plus, you will be installng new and used truck toppers, ensuring the fit and finish is up to our standards. As a Shop Technician, you'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs, contributing to the success of our operations while developing your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to fostering growth, safety, and excellence in every task you undertake. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trailers and snow plows. Installation of toppers, truck beds, snow plow equipment and truck accessories in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct routine maintenance on shop equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean and safe shop environment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and other mechanical tools to assemble, repair, or modify everything we sell. Troubleshoot equipment to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed service records and document repairs. Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication about repair status and maintenance needs. Qualifications Proven experience working in a shop environment with strong mechanical knowledge across various industries. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance. Must have a wide variety of tools and a roll around toolbox. Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding gear and other maintenance tools required for installation and repair tasks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers or other team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety protocols throughout all activities. Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle to get to work. Pay:
$25.00 - $38.00 per hour
