Heavy Equipment Technician Minnesota Equipment 763-235-9114 We are looking for a heavy equipment mechanic to join our Savage team! This position will be responsible for larger equipment diagnostics and repairs while also providing guidance and support to Service Technicians in the shop as a mentor. Purpose of Position Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including tractors, skid steers, bobcats, balers, lawn tractors, etc. for customer and dealer-owned ag and turf equipment. Small repairs may include snow blowers, chain saws, edgers, tillers, etc. Dismantle defective machines for repair and record details of repairs made and parts used Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians Participate in training programs for the development of personal and professional skills and knowledge growth Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Skills & Qualifications Must have adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities Experience performing mechanical service repairs on large equipment; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used for diagnostic purpose Back To Listings
