Job Description

We need a Master Mechanic who will take the lead in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining City vehicles and equipment—ensuring everything from engines to electronics runs smoothly and safely. What are the Qualifications to Be Considered? Be at least 18 and possess a High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least three (3) years of experience in diagnosis, repair and overhaul of gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines and automotive mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. Certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigerant Recovery, and Air Brakes are required within six (6) months of hire date. Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A CDL exam is required before employment. Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November thru March. Successfully complete a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and physical agility assessment. (Subject to the Department of Transportation's (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements.) Additional Qualifications - While not required, the following skills, experience, and training can help set you apart from other applicants: Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification. One (1) - Two (2) years of Welding experience.

Keep the City's fleet running safely and efficiently through expert diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Overhaul and service a wide variety of vehicles and heavy equipment using advanced tools and mechanical know-how. Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
The starting hourly wage is $24.19 per hour and will increase to $25.15 per hour after 6 months of successful probation. Click HERE for a complete breakdown of compensation/benefits information.
WORK HOURS
Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Some after hours required.
WORK LOCATION
City of Branson Service Garage as well as in and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
