Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Ray County Stone Producers, LLC, a Greer Family Organization, was founded in 2001. We are a mining company with a variety of aggregate products with an emphasis in large, graded erosion control materials, as well as processed aggregates for construction, agricultural and residential needs. We operate a quarry West of Richmond MO with easy access to the Missouri River for both inbound and outbound barge traffic. We currently have an opportunity for Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position is critical to maintaining our fleet to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Duties may include:

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems. Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Work closely with operations personnel to keep equipment ready Perform additional duties as requested by supervisor Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, dozer, excavators, crushers, conveyors and other equipment. Position Skills and Requirements Two years of heavy equipment mechanic experience and heavy structural welding experience required. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Valid driver's license required. Experience in mining a plus.
