Job Summary:
BioSqueeze Inc. is looking for a highly motivated shop technician to support equipment builds and other tasks for its engineering team. The engineering shop is responsible for providing the company with field equipment, next generation prototype equipment, system overhauls, research and development platforms, and major updates/overhauls/maintenance of the company's equipment.
Keep work organized, follow build priorities, update engineering with build status when requested.
Support the maintenance and operation of the company's equipment.
Prepare equipment for field operations and support field trials of new technologies/equipment.
Support testing in other departments as needed.
Retrieve items from local or potentially long-distance suppliers.
Perform routine maintenance/overhauls/updates on company equipment.
Help maintain a positive, safe, clean, and organized shop.
Support the receiving of parts and maintain the shop's parts inventory.
Provide constructive feedback on designs and participate in design reviews when requested.
Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma (Associate degree in a mechanical-type trade, or trades schooling/training is a plus)
5+ years of experience working in a job such as an industrial mechanic, production technician, automotive technician, mechanic, service or repair technician, fabricator, or similar.
Solid communicator with the ability to constructively work with engineers and other team members.
Strong mechanical abilities - for building and troubleshooting of equipment. (Electrical knowledge is a plus).
Willingness to work across multiple trades disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, hydraulics, welding, fabrication, automotive, etc. (expertise in all disciplines is not required).
Strong ability to read 2D & 3D shop drawings, bills-of-materials, and engineering sketches.
Comfortable using a computer (Microsoft office, email, etc.)
Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.
The ability to pass random drug tests including THC and alcohol.
