A sample of the position's duties and responsibilities include: Inspecting various types of off-road heavy equipment including trucks, excavators, bulldozers, etc. for proper performance. Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts. Repairing damaged equipment parts. Performing major repair work Consulting/ collaborating with other mechanics as needed Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to Equipment Department management Qualifications 2 years experience/training in hydraulics, diesel mechanics, and electrical troubleshooting. Caterpillar experience preferred. 5 years proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic. Understanding of computer testing technologies Demonstrated ability to work safely and promote a safe work environment. Excellent team and communication skills. Ability to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstances.
