Full Job Description Description:

Rental Works is seeking an experienced Shop Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of construction equipment with a primary focus on excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders, and related attachments . This position is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems, and keeping equipment rental-ready. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders, and related equipment. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, drivetrain, and undercarriage issues. Troubleshoot machine performance concerns using diagnostic software and testing equipment. Complete work orders accurately and efficiently. Conduct equipment inspections upon return from rental and prepare units for the next customer. Repair and maintain buckets, attachments, couplers, breakers, augers, and other accessories. Identify parts requirements and communicate with Parts Department. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support occasional field service needs as required. Qualifications 3+ years of experience repairing construction equipment, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or diesel machinery. Strong knowledge of excavators, skid steers, and compact track loaders. Experience diagnosing hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics. Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software is a plus. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work safely in a shop environment. Preferred Experience Bobcat, Takeuchi, Yanmar, or similar equipment. Diesel engine repair Rental industry experience.
