- $40 per hour depending on level of experience and knowledge Reports to:
Shop Foreman Position Summary:
The Shop Mechanic position is responsible for the proper operations of our equipment. At our sites, different types of machines and equipment are utilized in our day to day production. The Shop Mechanic is integral in keeping operations moving by knowing how to manage, diagnosis, and repair heavy equipment such as larger haul trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steers, and forklifts. This is a great position for someone who would like to work on different types of equipment. $2,500 Signing Bonus and $1,000 annual tool allowance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Must have a track-record of being a dependable employee
- Ability to test equipment for proper operation
- Selection of personal tools to be used on the job. Out of the ordinary tools will be provided.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits/drawings/prints
- Working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems
- Some ability to use diagnostic equipment
- Basic knowledge of electronic cables, connections, and sensors
- Must have experience working on heavy equipment (dozers, haul trucks, trackhoes, etc)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Install and/or replace new or reconditioned repair parts
- Familiarization of computers to diagnose codes and troubleshoot equipment problems more efficiently
- Conduct daily workplace safety and maintenance inspections of all critical components and systems
- Conduct Workplans as needed to ensure Safest workspace possible

- Able to work in a physically rigorous work environment. Position may involve walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs. Job may require crouching, stooping, or crawling.

- Able to use impact wrench
- Able to pull chain/cable hoist
