Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Tools & Equipment Assistant will assist the Tools & Equipment Manager with keeping the NBC shops organized, maintained, and ready for rentals. Classification

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with fleet vehicle maintenance through scheduling appointments and delivery of vehicles. Process and submit purchase orders for the tools and equipment department. Assist with department and company inventory. Inventory stock weekly to maintain quantity and supplies. Perform small tool repair and order parts as needed. Deliver tools to vendors for repair when needed. Driver coverage as needed. Pickup special materials needed for project site deliveries. Assist with cleaning, inventory, and filing of rental items being returned. Operation of company equipment is needed to assist with loading and unloading materials and supplies. Perform winter cleanup duties as needed to ensure entrances, exits, and parking lots are clear and safe. Responsible for organization of backyard and cold storage building. Receive and deliver UPS, FedEx, and Amazon orders to the appropriate offices. Verify building and grounds vendors are completing maintenance as expected. Handle scrap metal runs, and resale of unneeded materials through Marketplace. Input site orders in the system for processing and delivery. Maintain building and ground requested projects for scheduling. Maintain office trailer inventory and parts to have trailers ready for rental. Adheres to company safety policies and procedures. Perform additional assignments as directed by the manager.
COMPETENCY
Ability to understand directions and follow task lists. Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately. Ability to properly care for and use tools of trade. Strong organization skills. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suites. Works well as part of a team. Must be able to pass and retain a DOT medical card.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time. Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.   • Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR at least three years of experience via on-the-job training required.
Pay:
$18.00
