We are seeking motivated Independent 1099 Contractors to perform Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) installations for Fidium Fiber across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. We provide the foundation, support, and tools you need to build a highly successful contracting business. Whether you are an experienced fiber splicer or looking to break into a lucrative new trade, we have a structured path to get you in the field and earning quickly.

Comprehensive Training Program:

We teach you the trade, guide you through the setup, and provide ongoing dispatch and help-desk support. We give you everything you need to succeed.
Vehicle Flexibility:
Use your own setup or take advantage of our internal company vehicle rental program to get you on the road immediately. Key Responsibilities Perform residential and commercial Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) internet installations, including drop lines, path routing, and device configuration. Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic connections to ensure optimal signal strength and customer satisfaction. Safely operate tools and navigate ladder systems to transition fiber lines from utility poles or underground conduits into customer premises. Maintain clear communication with dispatch and provide excellent, professional service representing the network in local communities.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Fiber, telecom, or cable installation experience is preferred but not mandatory . We will train the right individuals with a strong work ethic.
Licensing:
Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
Screening:
Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
Vehicle Requirements:
Must have your own reliable work vehicle capable of carrying equipment and a ladder setup ( SUV, Pickup Truck, or Minivan ). Alternatively, a rental work vehicle can be provided through the company if needed.
Tools:
Must have your own standard field tools (or be prepared to acquire a standard kit prior to field work).
Commitment:
Completion of the full 10-day mandatory training program (5 days classroom + 5 days field training). Schedule & Independence As a 1099 Independent Contractor, you manage your business footprint across our northern New England service territories. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions, and a self-motivated mindset.
