Public Works Mechanic

Public Works Mechanic - Clinton Township/Hunterdon County Seeking a full-time mechanic to perform skilled mechanical work involving the maintenance, repair and servicing of all types of gas and diesel motor vehicles as well as construction equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: Repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engine components, diagnose mechanical problems using computer diagnostic equipment, clean, repair/replace worn and/or defective parts. Applicant will also be required for snow removal and various other tasks as needed. This position requires a valid NJ driver's license, and CDL, Class A preferred. The Township will assist successful applicant with CDL as may be necessary. Annual salary of $55,000 plus generous benefit and pension package offered. Successful applicants must undergo a background check, drug test and pre-employment physical. Must be a NJ resident. Clinton Township is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
