Shop Helper/PARR Support Technician 195 Green Pond Road, Rockaway, NJ 07866 $20 - $25 an hour $20 - $25 an hour Jet Vac Equipment is seeking a motivated Shop Helper / PARR Support Technician to support equipment preparation, rental operations, service activities, and general shop operations at our Rockaway, NJ location. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build hands-on experience in municipal and industrial equipment service, rentals, and dealership operations. The position is designed as a developmental role with future growth opportunities within Parts, Repairs, and Rental (PARR) operations. Responsibilities Perform equipment receiving, setup, and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) Conduct rental equipment check-in/check-out and 360-degree inspections Complete light mechanical work including oil changes, lubrication, machine preparation, cleaning, and power washing Assist technicians with repairs and shop support activities Pick up and deliver parts, tools, supplies, and equipment Support rental startups and customer equipment demonstrations Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory organization, and yard maintenance Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and storage areas Qualifications Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Basic hand and power tool knowledge preferred Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Benefits Health, Dental & Vision insurance available after 60 days of employment Company paid Life, Short & Long-Term Disability 401k with company match after one year of employment Paid time off and holidays About Summit Equipment Distribution Summit Equipment Distribution is a growing dealership organization focused on municipal and industrial equipment sales, service, rentals, and customer support.
