This role includes mechanical work, welding, and safely operating tractors and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Key Duties Inspect, diagnose, and repair farm equipment, vehicles, and machinery (tractors, excavators, forklifts, etc.) Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, and hydraulic system checks Safely operate tractors and heavy equipment following all safety guidelines Fabricate or repair parts using welding or other techniques as needed Read and follow equipment manuals and schematics for accurate repairs Keep records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment use Assist with assembling new equipment and upgrades Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience as a mechanic, including diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems Experience operating heavy equipment (tractors, forklifts, excavators, etc.) Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures Ability to lift heavy items safely and follow safety standards Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Good communication and teamwork skills Must be able to communicate in Spanish/English Work Environment Your skills will play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly.
