- Expected hours of workdays and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires overtime. Weekend on-call every 4-5 weeks.
- Under the direct supervision of an Area Supervisor and lead technician, this position is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of remote oil and gas machinery.
- Required Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three years or more related experience and/or training associated with one or more of the following areas: electrical, general mechanical, plumbing, piping systems, compressors or engines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, flowcharts, manuals, and schematics. Must have a clean driving record and 21 years of age. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Ensures that machines continue to run smoothly by performing routine preventative maintenance such as checking fluid levels, replacing filters or performing other maintenance actions according to job plans on work orders and general observations. Detects machine malfunctions or problems by paying attention to unusual sounds and/or visually inspecting machines or equipment and by starting machines and observing mechanical operations, gauges, gas flow meters, and readings in the control panel to determine the proper functioning of equipment. Lubricates machines, machine parts, or other equipment by applying grease and oils and other materials according to specified procedures. Removes and repairs or replaces by dismantling defective machines and equipment (i.e. engines and compressors) and installing new or repaired parts by following specifications and blueprints and using precision measuring equipment. Reassembles machines after repair or maintenance work by understanding mechanical operations of the equipment components, observing how machines were taken apart, and referring to technical manuals. Cleans machinery by using rags, power washers, cleaning solvents, air guns, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment and maintains work areas by raking area, adding soil enzymes, and cleaning up oil spills. Records production, repair, and machine maintenance information by filling out the logbook in the control panel and recording the same information on the work order on the laptop. Records time and materials used on a job with a CMMS. Maintains an appropriate level of inventory on the truck; conducts a semi-annual physical count of inventory on the truck. Communicates with customers for each job (work assignment) by phone, email or face-to-face on work tasks. Communicates to customers and supervisors about complying with safety procedures by filling out a printed JSA (job safety analysis) form for each work assignment. Follows safety procedures by wearing protective clothing and gear and participates in safety training provided by each customer. Operates service trucks by driving in adverse weather conditions, putting on tire chains, and operating crane. Performs minor maintenance on the company vehicle, cleans and maintains the vehicle, schedules safety and maintenance inspections, and communicates with the Supervisor when other maintenance needs to be scheduled.
