WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This position is responsible for responding to and executing maintenance (preventive and responsive) on heavy equipment machinery and other automotive equipment across our fleet. In this role, you'll be responsible for traveling to jobsites to conduct repairs in the event of breakdowns, as well as maintaining preventive maintenance practices on assets within the preventive maintenance program.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Perform mechanical work on heavy equipment such as Ditch Witch and Vermeer, as well as mini excavators and other automotive assets. Document work performed and track hours consumed during work tasks to help align business optimization efforts. Communicate regularly with managers and peers across the organization to ensure timely efforts of equipment maintenance and repair. Conduct operator training on equipment to teach proper preventive maintenance measures for optimization. Respond to off-hours calls for repair, as needed. Travel from jobsite to jobsite to perform repair work as needed. Design and deliver training to other workers across the organization on proper maintenance needed to maintain machinery. Work closely with senior leaders to develop plans to increase operational efficiencies related to maintenance operation. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, core values, and safety guidelines at all times.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
Ability to focus on details while still operating within tight deadlines. Proficient communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to adapt and react to last-minute business demands. Ability to quickly adapt to new technology to streamline work and processes. At least 4 years prior diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred. Proven success working on heavy equipment such as Ditch Witch or Vermeer is preferred.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Outdoors environment which may require exposure to elements, including but not limited to wind, rain, heat, cold, snow, sleet, mud, etc. In addition to outdoor work, some office work may be required for reporting and administrative purposes. May be required to stand, sit, bend, twist, and reach as part of the job. Extended periods of standing on your feet may be required. May be required to lift up to 80 pounds. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, or other job-related pre-hire screenings related to the job. This position may required extended overnight travel (2+ consecutive weeks) via plane, train, automobile, or bus.
