Service Mechanic | Findlay, OH

Forklift Service Mechanics respond to breakdown service calls for needed repairs and perform scheduled routine maintenance on both customer owned and leased forklifts. The primary goal is to troubleshoot, repair and maintain units at the customer's location or Findlay office when possible.

EDUCATION

: High School Diploma or equivalent, certifications in industrial equipment is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

: Perform basic to complex repairs on forklifts and other material handling type equipment as directed by the service department Conduct thorough inspections on forklifts to identify repairs that are needed and note all findings on workorders Use proper test equipment for troubleshooting. Coordinate with parts department to obtain parts needed for repairs. Accurately and legibly complete paperwork such as workorders, time cards, etc. and turn in on a timely basis Maintain professional appearance and attitude. Keep service vehicle clean and stocked with parts supplies; own the tools needed to perform on a daily basis Comply with all quality and safety policies with our company guidelines. Complete required training by manufacturer standards

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working on forklifts, automotive, farm equipment, or other types of heavy equipment. Any hydraulic, electrical, diesel, ICC, engine or mechanical experience is a preferrable Dependable and timely Customer oriented, good people skills Organized and self-motivated Have basic computer skills. Must maintain a good driving record for road mechanic. Strong commitment to teamwork and Beyond World Class Customer Service
