Tractor Technician

Duties Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various types of tractors and outdoor power equipment, including tractors, implements, and outdoor power equipment, using schematics and technical manuals Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, hydraulic system servicing, and transmission adjustments Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, and power tools to meet specific operational needs Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify electrical issues in complex systems like HVAC, air brakes, suspension, and electrical wiring Reassemble equipment with precision following manufacturer specifications; ensure proper alignment and calibration for optimal performance Maintain detailed service records; complete work orders accurately while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background working with heavy farm machinery and outdoor power equipment. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiar with schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems Hands-on experience operating excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Strong knowledge of Yanmar or similar engine brands; proficient in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance Familiarity with transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, shocks & struts within heavy machinery Demonstrated ability to read technical manuals; experience with automotive diagnostics software is a plus Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in assembly, equipment repair, tire service, welding projects and general maintenance tasks Excellent customer service skills; able to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working with power tools for extended periods in a fast-paced environment This role is ideal for motivated technicians eager to apply their diverse skill set in a vibrant setting that values precision craftsmanship and proactive problem-solving.
