Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Mechanic, both diesel and automotive. where you will be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle assets across various job sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and technology, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. As a key player in our maintenance team, you will deliver expert service that keeps operations running smoothly while providing exceptional customer support on the go. Your mechanical expertise and proactive approach will drive success in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system inspections to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate and modify parts or components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot electrical systems, transmissions, air brakes, HVAC units, and other mechanical systems to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols related to hydraulics, heavy lifting, and industrial equipment handling. Maintain detailed service records including repair logs, inspection reports, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance and traceability. Collaborate with team members and customers to provide expert advice on vehicle maintenance needs and operational best practices. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, or industrial machinery maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer standards and diagnostic tools. Hands-on skills in fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with schematics are essential for effective troubleshooting and repairs. Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, diesel engines, shocks & struts is highly desirable. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing assembly or equipment repair tasks in various environments. Experience working with farm machinery or tractor-trailers adds valuable insight into diverse vehicle types. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members alike.
