Full Job Description Shop Mechanic Job Description:
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company rig and drilling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role works primarily in a shop environment with some travel required as needed and supports rig fleet reliability through preventative maintenance and timely repairs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on company rig equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and materials
  • Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors
  • Assist with equipment breakdowns and urgent repair needs as required
  • Work schedule Monday - Friday.
Depending on work load rotate weekends off
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Safety sensitive position. Must pass hair follicle drug screen
  • Must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, grease, and equipment
Work Environment:
  • Shop-based position with occasional outdoor work
  • Full-time schedule; overtime may be required based on workload
Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour
