You will play a vital role in ensuring the operational readiness of our fleet by performing essential repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel-powered machinery. Responsibilities Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, fluid analysis, and filter replacements to extend equipment lifespan. Support the diagnostic process by identifying mechanical failures in engines, transmissions, and hydraulic brake systems. Perform component replacements such as hoses, belts, and fuel system parts to maintain peak performance. Assist in the overhaul and repair of heavy-duty equipment, including log loaders and forklifts. Maintain shop organization and tool accountability to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Document service activities and assist in inventory management of parts and shop supplies. Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to perform accurate repairs. Collaborate with senior staff on complex electrical system troubleshooting, including wiring and starter repairs. Qualifications Required Skills Possession of a personal set of mechanic tools. Foundational knowledge of diesel engine systems and heavy equipment mechanics. Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and the use of protective equipment. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with heavy machinery repair. Preferred Skills Prior experience in a shop or industrial maintenance setting. Familiarity with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools. Demonstrated ability to read and apply technical service documentation.
