This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse machinery, including farm equipment, industrial machinery, construction vehicles, and more. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will deliver expert service, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently—keeping our clients moving forward with confidence. Your mechanical expertise and proactive approach will make a tangible impact every day! Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and industrial machinery using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing to maximize equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical systems, air brake systems, transmissions, HVAC components, and hydraulics to identify issues quickly and accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify machinery as needed. Inspect and test equipment post-repair to ensure optimal performance; perform alignments and wheel balancing when applicable. Assist in assembling new machinery or parts following manufacturer specifications; perform heavy lifting safely during installations or repairs. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports promptly, and communicate clearly with clients about work performed and recommended follow-up actions. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment experience highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and electrical components. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery issues; capable of reading technical manuals accurately. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication processes. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers or similar industrial vehicles. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit to handle demanding tasks in diverse environments. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and communication.
