In this energetic role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine maintenance on various mobile and stationary equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our clients' operations running smoothly, whether on-site or in the field. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial equipment using OEM schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, transmission repairs, brake replacements, tire service, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments, and air brake inspections. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet OEM specifications. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing to ensure proper functionality after service. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues with electrical systems, HVAC units, diesel engines, or other complex machinery. Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repairs needed and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Maintain detailed records of all work performed for warranty purposes and compliance with safety standards. Skills Proven experience working with dealership or OEM equipment repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, alignment, suspension, and HVAC systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques safely. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or cranes is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid certifications in forklift operation or heavy equipment operation are a plus; relevant certifications in diesel engine repair or brake systems are preferred.
