Mobile Service Technician

Mobile Service Mechanic RHL Companies - Traveling Position (Monday-Friday) Position Overview RHL Companies is seeking a skilled and dependable Mobile Service Mechanic to perform on‑site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery across multiple job sites. This is a travel‑based role, Monday through Friday , supporting our field operations throughout the region. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, safety‑focused, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Travel daily to job sites to perform equipment inspections, diagnostics, and repairs Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles Perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, filter replacements, and component adjustments Document all work performed, parts used, and equipment status Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors, operators, and the equipment manager Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service truck Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with RHL Companies' safety standards Respond to urgent service calls and minimize equipment downtime Assist with equipment moves, setup, and field support as needed Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a mechanic (construction equipment, diesel, or fleet preferred) Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, engines, and heavy equipment components Ability to diagnose issues independently and perform field repairs Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required Ability to travel Monday through Friday to various job sites Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks Preferred Skills Experience with excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, or similar heavy equipment Familiarity with telematics and diagnostic software OSHA or equipment‑specific certifications What RHL Companies Offers Competitive hourly pay based on experience Company‑provided service truck and tools Per diem Health, dental, and vision benefits Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Supportive team environment focused on safety and quality
