Mancan Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic for a reputable company located in Washington, PA! This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position offering steady daylight hours and a great opportunity for long-term employment.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30
PM Pay:
$25-$30 per hour (based on experience)

Temp-to-Perm Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanic is responsible for repairing a variety of electromechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, blowers, and gearboxes. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot, and hands-on experience with repair and testing procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a hands-on apprenticeship preferred
Experience:
10-20 years of experience in electromechanical repair
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret work orders, schematics, and test results Ability to perform and retain skill-based training Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must have good vision (close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception)
Responsibilities:
Read job cards and determine repair needs, limitations, and serviceability Test electromechanical equipment to diagnose issues (AC and DC testing) Disassemble equipment, noting part conditions and configurations Clean and prepare components using appropriate cleaning methods Identify and order necessary replacement parts Repair or replace worn or defective mechanical/electromechanical assemblies (e.g., bearings, seals, gears, brushes, switches, clutches, pumps, gearboxes) Reassemble and retest equipment for proper operation and output Complete required documentation accurately and promptly Operate specialized repair and testing equipment Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE Maintain a clean, organized work area Assist other team members and perform other duties as assigned
