Job Description

Job description ML Transportation is a growing local fleet servicing our customers in Central Pennsylvania in operation since 1975. We are seeing a full time Trailer and Truck Mechanic that will perform preventative and general service maintenance on our transportation and construction equipment. Primary focus will consist of maintaining our transportation fleet of trailers to include repairs, tires, and federal inspections. Maintenance on trucks will be light maintenance as all are covered under Freightliner warranty on most items. Additional responsibilities will consist of providing light maintenance and PM service to construction fleet equipment. Operate safely and efficiently following all policies and procedures Prioritize and complete all day to day activities Perform other related tasks as may be assigned Skilled in general tire changing, preventative maintenance and annual inspections of 53' trailers Skilled in light repairs, tires and preventative maintenance of class 8 Freightliner trucks Skilled in light maintenance of construction equipment Responsible to provide direction and assistance to Wash Bay Technician Must be able to work independently to identify potential problems and resolve issues Must be proficient in operation of, service truck, truck and trailer operation, various powered construction equipment
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and speak English Mechanically inclined Heavy lifting, kneeling, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, on your feet for long periods of time Attention to detail Excellent communication skills Knowledge of trucks, trailers, tools and equipment, etc. Solid work history with no attendance issues Must have current drivers license CDL a plus, not required, willingness to obtain PA State Inspection License, a plus, not required, willingness to obtain Must be familiar with DOT regulations Willingness to learn and expand skill set
