In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting construction, farming, industrial projects, and transportation needs. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial equipment using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, air brakes, HVAC systems, electrical components, and powertrain assemblies. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, soldering, cutting with power tools, and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures or testing phases to ensure proper functioning after repairs are completed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed to support ongoing maintenance projects. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy equipment repair. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulics, transmissions, electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and diesel engines. Skilled in reading schematics and OEM manuals for accurate troubleshooting and repair procedures. Experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environments; comfort operating heavy machinery during testing phases. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance status. Must have own tools. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation standards and safety protocols; familiarity with major OEM brands is a plus. Join us in keeping the gears turning!
