Competitive subcontractor rate ($45-$55 / hr), based on experience, certification, and scope of work Job Summary Precision MedLab Services is seeking an experienced and certified biomedical equipment technician or field service engineer to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on STERIS systems, including models such as the STERIS 1850, STERIS
3013, and similar sterilization/decontamination equipment. This is a subcontractor position for qualified technicians who have hands-on experience servicing STERIS equipment in hospitals, surgical centers, laboratories, or healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, complete accurate service documentation, and perform work in accordance with manufacturer standards, industry best practices, and applicable safety requirements. Duties Perform preventive maintenance on STERIS sterilization and decontamination equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues Perform repairs as needed Inspect equipment for proper operation, safety, and performance Complete service reports, PM documentation, and repair summaries accurately and professionally Communicate findings, recommendations, and required parts clearly Follow hospital, facility, and manufacturer safety procedures Represent Precision MedLab Services professionally while onsite with clients Provide clear before-and-after documentation when applicable Notify our team immediately of any issues outside the original service scope Requirements Must have certification, formal training, or verifiable experience servicing STERIS systems Experience with STERIS 1850, STERIS
3013, or similar systems strongly preferred Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs independently Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to complete accurate service reports and PM documentation Must have your own tools and transportation Must be reliable, professional, and responsive Must be able to work as a 1099 independent subcontractor Must be willing to provide proof of experience, certifications, or training upon request Prior experience working in hospitals, surgical centers, or healthcare facilities preferred Preferred Qualifications OEM training or certification on STERIS equipment Experience with sterilizers, washers, decontamination systems, and related equipment Experience completing manufacturer PM checklists Ability to source or identify parts when needed Current liability insurance preferred Flexible availability for scheduled PMs and service calls About Precision MedLab Services Precision MedLab Services provides medical, laboratory, and biomedical equipment service solutions to hospitals, surgical centers, clinics, and laboratories.
