Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Equipment Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and optimizing our fleet of golf course machinery. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of equipment to ensure smooth operation and top performance on the course. Your mechanical expertise will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional experience for golfers while keeping equipment in peak condition. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for machinery and customer service. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, trimmers, aerators, and utility vehicles. Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately. Repair diesel engines, generators, and other heavy machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding, reel grinding and soldering techniques. Conduct electrical system diagnostics and repairs, ensuring all equipment meets safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs performed. Assist with equipment inspections to identify potential issues before breakdowns occur. Support the procurement of parts and supplies needed for repairs while adhering to inventory management protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, equipment repair, and diesel engine maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, welding, soldering, and generator repair is essential. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques. Experience working with John Deere or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and vendors. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy parts or equipment as needed.
